Overview

CommIT Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Azure Administrator to provide Tier III support for the Enterprise Services Management (ESM) branch by developing, operating, and maintaining automation solutions across the MCEN. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle of automation scripts and tools, from minor enhancements to major revisions, to streamline enterprise tasks and improve operational efficiency across a wide range of technologies, including cloud and on-premise systems.

 

Established in 2001, CommIT is a Certified Veteran-Owned Small Business (CVOSB) providing innovative technical engineering and data science services. Our enterprise systems support includes the Department of Defense’s (DoD) GCSS-MC, CAC2S, TBMCS-MC, and the Department of Veteran’s Affairs’ (VA) telehealth communications. We offer acquisition management, systems engineering, Agile software development, cloud management, IT modernization, data analytics, cybersecurity, and training, including leading-edge DevSecOps, automated testing, and mobile application development.

Responsibilities

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to-

  • Maintain the overall health of technologies associated with enterprise automation.

  • Resolve Tier III automation-related tickets escalated from the service desk.

  • Develop and maintain automation solutions using PowerShell, Python, and/or Microsoft C#.

  • Provide project support for automation-related technologies and initiatives.

  • Support full lifecycle development activities, including minor enhancements and major version releases for automation tools.

  • Provide documentation, guidance, and instruction to the Tier 1 service desk for handling standard automation-related incidents and service requests.

  • Monitor the health of the automation infrastructure using government-provided tools (e.g., SolarWinds).

  • Submit, execute, and participate in the change management process (RFCs, Change Review Boards) for all automation tasks.

  • Provide analysis and remediation for DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) for all responsible technologies in preparation for CCRI events.

  • Escalate product issues to third-party vendors and implement monitoring tool thresholds for proactive event remediation.

Qualifications

Required Experience, Education and Certifications:

  • IAT Level III
  • Senior-level experience in automation, scripting, and/or software development within an enterprise IT environment. Experience with both on-premise (VMware, Windows/Linux) and cloud (Azure, AWS) technologies.
  • Tier III, Senior-Level experience with PowerShell or Python.

  • Tier III, Senior-Level experience with Microsoft C#.

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure and Azure Automation Administration.

  • Understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) concepts.

  • Experience working with a diverse technology stack including VMware, Windows/RedHat, Active Directory, MECM, SQL, and M365.

  • IAT Level III (CASP+CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, or CCSP), Azure Data Fundamentals

Preferred Skills:

  • Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate

  • Experience with SolarWinds Platform, BMC Remedy, and NetApp storage.

  • ITIL v4 Foundations certification.

Security Requirements:

  • Active DoD - TS/SCI

Working Conditions:

  • Environmental Conditions: General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
  • Strength Demands: 10 lbs. maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles.
